Short getaway: Fraser's Hill - Day 1

we decided to go up Fraser's hill on 14 & 15th May 2011

We took the NKVE highway from Kota Damansara to Rawang. then straight to Kuala Kubu Bharu..its the same road to Chilling waterfall that we went on last November.

After passing Chilling Waterfall, we find that the road is more challenging with sharp corners...its zig zaged road. hahaha. Along the way.. there was team of bikers going up the hill...tabik r diorang!!! seriously i don't think i can do it! after 20-30 minutes... we arrived at The Gap...

we were looking for the signboard that stated the time to go up and down the hill... even the guard house looks deserted. (actually we googled before heading there...and I've been there a few times during the old days.. so I'm aware that odd hours is for going up and even hours for going down.) so we decided to ask the nearby rest stop. it seems that they now use both new and old road. the new road is designated to go up the hill.. and old road to go down. info in the Internet is obsolete...gosh!

After 8km swaying ourselves in the car... we finally arrived at Fraser's Hill at 10am -ish....

we were lucky that the hotel management allowed us to check in early... =D... apa lagi sambung la tido kan... we stayed at Shahzan Inn.. which formerly known as Merlin Hotel... (Mr.Teddy, dulu masa kecik kecik sy duduk situlah... =D) - so u can imagine how the hotel looks... its clean... cuma... sedikit bau 'mapek' and they didn't provide fan...lemas jugaklah memula masuk tu.

the weather... nyaman! x sejuk mcm dulu dulu of course... but around 1pm.. it started raining...x cukup sejuk untuk membuatkan anda mengigil... hehehee. tp..air mmg macam ice!!!

After Zohor... we decided to have a town tour of our own... =D

Ye Olde Smokehouse... i used to come here as a child... I was thinking nak ajak Mr.Teddy dinner kat sini... but then.. Dad ckp dah x der... dunno what he meant... so we didn't go.

Then, we headed for Jeriau Waterfall... gosh... the road look deserted... scary! after a few minutes walk... passing by uncle jual jagung...maka jumpalah sungai...next to the bridge...ada mcm kolam... I guess..situ the best port untuk mandi. =D

Then we walk further up... tercungap cungap ok...mendaki tangga yang x brapa tinggi tu. then we saw this.....

there's this 1 family.. tried to mandi manda kat situ.. tp mcm berselut... kat situ mcm empangan... so mmg bukan port mandi. nak mandi kena mandi kat sungai td tu....

while we were walking back towards our car...

otw back to town... we decided to have a late lunch at the food court.

after magrib... we went out for dinner plak... hahahhaa. plan nk room service je... but after seeing the price...hmmm cancelled. hahaha. we went to the food court again... to another shop yang happening... sbb ramai org. we waited 1hour for our order... and i've specified that no chilli... still dia buat pedas gila. end up.. makan 2 3 sudu.. then i went back to the restaurant we went earlier today. i ordered kuew teow goreng... failed... rasa kicap semata. conclusion nye.. kedai dia...western mmg best! masakan Msia out.

we took a few shots otw back to the hotel... and watched TV till we fall asleep.... to be continued...
